Julys Edition of Barrio Beat is with headliner Bettys Mustache, the s cats have been tearing up the local dive and dance establishments. Bettys Cumbia style can be described and Metal Cumbia (wailing guitar solos), Urban Cumbia (hip hop cumbia covers) such as their rendition of Zapps Doo Wa Diddy, or Good time party cumbia, becasue thats waht they do they show you a good time and party. Opening the Show is Los Surlys a new 4 piece outfit from N.E LA, they have a real old school Vallenato take on their Cumbia stylings. In the middle slot is The Alex Santos Orquesta, who don’t play any cumbia at all, a little break from the usual. They will bless us with their Salsa/Latin Funk and Latin Soul sounds
